Hoppin is a design exploration that started out from my curiosity: what would be the equivalent experience of the Uber pool when it comes to ordering delivery food.
Wavy is a friendly mobile budget planning application that keeps users accountable with his/her monthly spending. Wavy is informed with user's monthly budget, and divides it according to the number of each month to set up the daily budget.

The money we are spending is not like a bottomless mimosa at weekend brunch.
Most people have a set budget for each month to be more accountable with one's expense. However, it is challenging to be on track of our spendings. Through a design solution, how might we create a better experience to help ourselves to be on top of our daily budgets?
What if we could divide the monthly budget into days of the month to see our daily budgets?
During the process phase, we continually shaped the core function of the app to be simple. Being in the user's mind, we wanted to prevent the app from having other banking apps' additional services.
The challenge for us was the process of taking out any unnecessary features that could ruin our philosophy.
We did a short-term testing with our concept of daily budget with a simple exel sheet that basically divided the given value into the days of the month.
Most of the time, I’ve spent money as if it was the loose faucet. However, having a daily budget in the back of my head helped me to be mindful when I was making purchase decisions during the day
Assorting how much I could spend in a month has helped me to understand the full scope of my financial situation. In the end, I could decide the real worth of what I was spending
While using the Excel sheet, the methodology of tracking a spendings needed a few new features to bring a seamless user experience of tracking down the user’s spending habits
The main page shows the wave inside your screen which works as a visual indicator that simply shows your budget left for the day. Moreover, the color of the screen changes as it gets flushed down for each spending.
On weekly and monthly summary page, users can see their spending pattern for the past, where they went over their budget and where they saved, so that they can be more mindful of how they spend for today and tomorrow.
Users can access the transaction page simply by swiping up. The transaction page includes the list of transactions and total amount of transaction they made for each day.
Navigation through the app was made as simple as possible. Swiping left and right would get to Past Months’ activities and profile page with settings. Swiping down from any screens with wave background would navigate to transactions.
Having a physical card will help users to have a better understanding of how they are using their money because they'll have a single source of physical method
Using the excel sheet with formulas to maintain and thoughtfully allocation, my monthly budget was not easy. Practicing more of this lifestyle will give us more insights into the life cycle of this product
Keeping up with updating my payments was truly time-staking. Building the app to automate to keep up the budget status will be a different experience
Thanks for taking your time to check out my project.
